A group of fellow photographers and I met at a local farm to do what we love…. photo shoots! The purpose of the meet was to learn new things. We all had to get out of our comfort zones and do something we normally would not do. My challenge? Well, my challenge is shooting in FULL SUN. I normally look for open shade and run away from the sun because I simply didn’t know how to set my camera. On this day I told my self over and over “be not afraid”. As time went on I began to really like it. I look forward to trying it out again.
All three of my chicks were with me so it posed a bit of a challenge. Luckily, the Sheepdog Trials was being held on the same day. The farm workers dressed-up and even cooked on an open fire. The children had a blast until 3.5 hrs later when hunger crept in – they became MONSTERS.
My princess volunteered to model for me as mommy tried to master full sun. Can you tell how enthused she is?
Megan is a junior in high school and she was our teen model. As the day died in the west I loved how the sun gave off various tones of color.
I had to sneak this young lady in here. She didn’t come to model at all. She’s a senior in high school and came to learn the in’s and out’s of a DSLR.
